Features built-in protections for the XP-1, XP-3, XP-5 and XP-10 and offers an upgrade over the standard clamps that come with the Micro-Start models. Short circuit protection: if the two clamps are accidently put together, the protection will not allow for damage to the Micro-Start. Reverse polarity protection: if the clamps are connected in reverse polarity on the vehicle, the protection will become active and not damage the unit.
